From Milkshakes...
We first met as teenagers while working together at Palace Pointe City Diner in Roxboro, NC. We became friends as we joked to make the workday pass by more quickly, play fought over who was going to make milkshake orders, and spent breaks together chatting over shared fruit trays. When Randy went off to college, we only saw each other over holiday breaks when he returned to the diner, but kept in touch over the phone.

Once Carmesha became a college student, we found a new way to stay connected--Facebook! Randy told Carmesha about the website for college students and was her first Facebook friend. Little did we know, Facebook would also be the tool to take our friendship to the next level! Shortly before Christmas break in 2005, Carmesha sent Randy a Facebook message with one of those chain-mail friendship quizzes; his honest answers revealed he had a little crush on her, and Carmesha's responses confirmed that the feeling was mutual! By February we decided to be each other's Valentine and celebrated the holiday on our first date. We began dating exclusively...and the rest is history!
